Editorial Policy

Our starting point

We only cover operators that hold a current remote casino licence on the Gambling Commission's public register. That check happens before any editorial work begins — an operator without a matching, active licence doesn't get written about as if it were fully legitimate for GB customers.

Research

For each operator, we record the legal licensee, the Gambling Commission account number, the licensed activities on file, and the registered domain, cross-checking these against the public register directly. Where we describe an operator's history, ownership or product range, we base that on information from the register or from the operator's own published material, not on assumption.

Scoring

Our editorial score reflects three things: licensing standing and history (how long an operator has held its current authorisation, and how continuous that record is), the breadth of product on offer, and our own assessment of the operator's site once we've looked through it. Scores are our opinion. They don't represent a guarantee from the Gambling Commission, from any safer gambling organisation, or from Chipway House about what will happen if you use a particular operator.

Independence

Some links on this site are commercial, as explained in our affiliate disclosure, but commercial arrangements never determine ranking order or scoring. We don't accept payment in exchange for a specific score or position.

Keeping content current

Licensing details and product offerings change. We periodically re-check the public register and revisit our own notes on each operator, updating scores or removing an operator entirely if its circumstances change materially.

Corrections

If something on this site turns out to be wrong, we fix it and note the correction on our corrections page. We'd rather be told about a mistake than leave it standing.
